From the parents of JeanMarie, Lauren, Rica and Sarah
A heartfelt THANK YOU to all the wonderful people who have fed, housed, supported and encouraged our daughters in their journey across our great country. In their “Journey of Discovery”, the kindness of others has been overwhelming! You each represent what we have all tried to teach our daughters about how to treat other people. At this time of the year when we gather with family and friends, we will give special thanks to all of you for taking them into your homes and hearts.
Best wishes to each and everyone of you for a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration.

Dear JeanMarie, Lauren, Rica, & Sarah,
Well, I finally found your blog near the end of your ride. What a fabulous adventure! So many places seen, mountains climbed, beauty enjoyed, new friends made — a voyage of discovery, indeed! This has been a life-changing trip, for you and for all those you have met en route. The enthusiasm, love, warmth, and caring you have given & received is like a pebble dropped in clear waters, sending ripples out beyond the point of impact. The lives you have touched will continue to touch others, passing forward acts of kindness & gestures of love. God(dess) bless all of you & keep you safe as you complete this wondrous journey and rejoin proud & loving families for the holidays.

Hey Ladies!
Nice meeting y’all in that weird Dutch town Solvang the other day. I met a couple of Frenchmen heading south on 154 before getting there and I couldn’t help but think of how they perceived that town.. They were probably cracking up! Hah. I recognize that huge New Mexico Sign, but I think it’s actually a different one, unless you came in from the north via rt. 25 for some reason. New Mexico was my favorite though! I miss the smells of sage and cedar… However, I suppose the salty sea smell more than makes up for that.
Oh yea- I think i began writing my email down on that card instead of my blog which is http://www.countfunkula176.blogspot.com
Check out my uhh….similar pictures! haha
Hope your ride is nice up the coast and flat free!! Maybe we’ll run into each other in SF if you are all there before Saturday.
